Breathtaking!

When Fleur Curwen arrives for a murder mystery weekend, not even her feisty persona can prepare her for what she is about to experience. Dragon lord, Lukas Draco, isn’t prepared for the powerful attraction he feels for Fleur. After all, she’s human. And no matter what he can’t be distracted from his vital task. To save the dragon egg.

Introduce the suave Xavier Serpente, a demon with the same mission as Lukas and pretty soon innocent Fleur is swept away on an adventure in a world she never knew existed, steeped in danger and laced with a whole lot of hotness. Can Lukas save them both?

With a fab up-close-and-personal meet with Fleur and Lukas, The Dragon Legacy starts off with sizzle and a heap of intrigue that has you page turning at a frantic pace. This isn’t a Whodunnit? but more of a ‘What the heck are they and will they survive?’

I love that the story is set in the Lake District, but if you’ve never visited fear not, the author takes you on a journey of visual imagery through her beautiful descriptive writing. You feel it, you almost breathe the air. Add in the wonderful secondary characters, witch Jasmine and sexy wolf Zane and there’s a whole lot of potential for lots more from this wonderful new author!

The Dragon Legacy is hotter than a fire-breathing dragon. Whew! This story about Lukas and Fleur was fast-paced, interesting and had the kind of ending I was hoping for. Hoping there will be another book about Zane and Jasmine? Well done, Jane Hunt.

5.0 out of 5 stars OH YEAH! December 14, 2013

First we're introduced to our hero and heroine on board a bus from Penrith that is so atmospheric I felt as though I was on seated, making way to a Murder Weekend getaway. Perfect set up for the story in misting, jostling and umm, brief hip-to-hip introduction between Fleur and Lukas.

Off for a weekend of fun...or are we down for some kick-ass, dragon heart, and savage hero balls to wall when it really counts to get the girl, fight evil tooth and tail, and find a dragon egg?
Repeat after me: OH YEAH!!

"Deep inside, Lukas' dragon soul roared. Fire seared his organs and flowed into his arteries. He fought for his humanity as his gaze scanned the darkness for any sign of Fleur.
He embraced his inner fire."

I enjoyed this story. It provided some twists and turns which I didn’t see coming. The setting in the English Lake District immediately drew my attention, and so did the premise of a group of strangers meeting for a Murder Mystery Weekend.
I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but this Murder Mystery Weekend is not at all why I – or the main character, Fleur – expected. Not at all!
Fleur’s unusual meeting with Lukas Drako leaves an indelible impression on the somewhat naive Fleur. She can’t get the image of the handsome stranger out of her mind. The chemistry sizzles between them, but Lukas has to avoid getting emotionally entangled at any cost. His mission is crucial. Life and death. No way does he want to be distracted by this gorgeous, innocent, and shy young woman.
But their attraction for each other is just too much. Fleur sheds her innocence in heated – no, sizzling – encounters with Lukas, and she doesn’t mess around in letting him know that she desires him.
Then, along comes the villain – Xavier – who threatens not only the relationship between Fleur and Lukas, but also the future of Lukas’s world.
There are some very interesting supporting characters in this book, and I could see them each starring in a future book. They have interesting stories to be told.
Overall, I enjoyed this interesting story but think that it could have benefitted with a tighter edit in some places.
